The Different Account Types

1

Pay-As-You-Go/Cash Account

  • You will receive orders from customers, ask them to pay up front or give you a deposit.
  • You place your order & receive an SMS notifying you of how much to pay.
  • Once payment is received by AVON, your order will be invoiced & dispatched.

Manage your account by ordering weekly. You can order as your customers pay you but remember that each order place must reach the minimum order value before it will be processed.

For URGENT orders and for customers NOT NEAR you, send them your online store link so they can order directly online. See the lesson about opening your online store later in this course.

21 Day Credit Account

  • Should your ITC score allow, you may receive a credit limit from AVON.
  • This allows you to place orders, receive products & then pay AVON before the due date of the invoice, if within your credit limit.
  • If your account becomes overdue, you will not be able to place another order until the previous one is paid. A late payment fee will apply.
  • Only reps with South African citizenship will be eligible to qualify for this account type.

After your registration form was processed and AVON gave you a credit account it means you can place orders on your account and have 21 days from the date of invoice to pay.

  • You can see the invoice due date on the actual invoice you will receive in your box.
  • Make sure you pay it on or before that day.
  • They are very strict and if payment is received late they can take away your credit limit.
  • This will allow you to place orders up to the value of that limit.
  • If your order exceeds your limit, AVON will request you to pay in the difference before delivering your order to you.
  • Your orders will be processed and delivered by AVON Head Office you then distribute to your customers.
  • Your customers pay you when you deliver the order.
  • Collect the money, pay AVON the amount due on the invoice and keep the rest for you thatโ€™s your commission.
  • Place your next order and continue to earn extra income.
  • Remember on your first order you pay once off joining fee.

EXAMPLE: If your orders are R1200 but you received a R900 credit account, it means you will need to pay the difference before they will release your order.

So in this example the difference is R300 (R1200 โ€“ R900).

If there is a difference to be paid, AVON will send you this amount to pay via SMS, otherwise just ask your upline or call the AVON Relationship Center if you didnโ€™t receive it.

They will then release your order after payment and you have 21 days left to pay the rest of the order.

NB: LATE PAYMENTS

DO NOT MAKE LATE PAYMENTS:

๐Ÿ“ŒA past due fee of R50 will be charged on your account when your due date of invoice reaches 15 days past.

๐Ÿ“ŒWhen your date of invoice reaches 30 days past a second past due fee of R50 will be charged again on your account.

๐Ÿ“Œ After 3 months if you have an overdue account, AVON will start the legal process - handing the Representative over to a debt collection company, and of course, blacklisting. Until legal fees are paid, the account with AVON CANNOT be activated, even if the overdue AVON account was paid.

๐Ÿ“Œ A blacklisted person is someone who is seen as a risk and denied access to certain financial privileges and services. In South Africa, you may be placed on a blacklist because of your failure to consolidate outstanding debt. Blacklisting is the most serious and will jeopardize your chances of getting finance.

๐Ÿ“Œ Blacklisting will severely impact your ability to get credit and will mean a much higher interest rate if you can get a loan. It can also prevent you from getting specific jobs where they check that you maintain a good credit record.

๐Ÿ“Œ The thing to understand is even if you pay your debts, your negative listing will remain on your record for at least two years and, in some cases, as long as five years.

โš ๏ธ Very Important: Never give products to your customers without payment. You can always resell or return products that you cannot sell, once you have given products without payment - you will be liable for the payment.
